(From Police Gazette, 30th March, 1888.) 30. Lancaster (Borough). Description of John Quinlan, whose apprehension is sought for forgery : Age forty-five, height sft. Bin. or 9in., complexion sallow, hair brown, long whiskers and moustache, eyes grey, of very excitable temperament, and twitches his eyes when talking, finger-nails bitten very low, is a brisk walker but rather weak-kneed.
Was recently in London, having at G.BO p.m. on the sth instant sent a telegram from King’s Cross B to Lancaster. A native of High Bentham, Yorkshire. May endeavour to leave for Australia.
