Deserters from Her Majesty’s Service.
William Nelson is charged on warrant with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Nelson,” at Auckland, on the 29tlr December last. Description : A native of St. Olaves, Surrey, England, an ordinary-seaman, twenty years of age, sft. 4Jin. high, brown hair, grey eyes, ruddy complexion. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
Henry S. C. Jackson is charged with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Opal,” at Auckland, on the 17th February last. Description: A native of Saintfield, County Down, Ireland, an ordinary-seaman, nineteen years of age, sft. 9in. high, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, scar on left forefinger, tattoo-marks on both hands. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
James Bailey is charged on warrant with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “Nelson,” at Auckland, on the 14th March last. Description: A native of Edgbaston, Birmingham, an ordinary-seaman, nineteen years of age, sft. 3in. high, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, bracelet tattooed on right forearm. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
