Deserting Wives and Families, &c.

Henry James Richards is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting his wife and two children, at Oamaru, since about the Ist February last. Description : A West Indian negro, a cook, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 7£ inches high, stout square build; speaks good English. He is supposed to be at Napier.

Nathaniel Monk is charged on warrant of commitment to gaol for one month’s labour, issued by the Napier Bench, in default of paying £5 fine and £1 6s. costs for having committed a breach of the Licensing Act, at Napier, on the Ist ultimo. Description: About twenty-seven years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, slight build, rather stooped, dark hair, clean-shaved except small dark moustache; when last seen wore grey paget-coat, dirty light-tweed trousers, and black-felt hat.
