Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
David Spiers, John Westley, and Joseph Croft, able-sea-men, are charged, on warrant issued bv the Lyttelton Bench, with deserting from the ship “ Soukar,” at Lyttelton, on the morning of the 9th instant. Description : Spiers is English, twenty-seven years of ago, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout and well built, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, chean-shaved except brown moustache. Westley is a native of the colony, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, medium build, fair complexion, light hair, no hair on face, a deep mark on forehead; wore black sac-suit and black cap. Croft is a native of Shetland, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, clean-shaved except moustache; usually wears blue sac-suit and black soft felt hat. A reward of £1 each is offered for the arrest of Spiers and Westley if effected before the vessel sails.
