Dugald McGregor, charged on warrant with embezzling money, the property of John Copeland, at Lawrence, has been arrested by Detective Alexander Henderson, Dunedin Police, and sentenced to fourteen days’ labour.
On the morning of the 12th ultimo two lamps, the property of the Riverton Borough Council, were maliciously removed from off the Aparima Bridge. One of them was found in the river, and it is supposed that the other was thrown into the river also.

C. A. Ross, charged on warrant with having obtained £1 from William Blacklor, at Selwyn, by means of a valueless cheque, has been arrested by Sergeant Nicholas Kiely, Auckland Police, and discharged.
Between 5 p.m. on the 3rd and 8 a.m. on the 4th instant, at Burke’s, near Dunedin, a dray, the property of David Thomson, was maliciously wheeled down an embankment, thereby breaking one of the shafts and damaging the dray to the extent of £l.

Charles James Holmes, charged on warrant with having obtained £1 from Lawson Ridley, at Rangiora, by false representations, has been arrested by Constable John Duggan, Christchurch Police, and sentenced to twelve hours’ labour.
On the 26th ultimo a large pane of plate-glass, value £2, and a small pane of glass, value 2s. 6d., were maliciously broken in the lighthouse at the end of Gladstone Pier, Lyttelton, the property of the Lyttelton Harbour Board.
