(See Police Gazette , 1885, page 44.) The dismissal of Constable Edward Goodwin, No. 2291, has been cancelled, and his discharge substituted instead.
Rewards
Tiie sum of £2 10s. each has been awarded by Mr. Robert Gardner to Detective Alexander Henderson and Sergeant Michael James Geerin, Dunedin Police, in recognition of their services in connection with the recovory of a gold watch and appendages stolen from him, and the arrest and prosecution of Charles Peterson, sentenced to six months’ labour for the offence.
The police station at Porirua, in the Wellington District, has been closed.
