Incendiarism.

About 10 p.m. on the 9th ultimo a six-roomed wooden house, at Kaikoura, Marlborough District, the property of John and Jeremiah Harnett, was, with contents, destroyed by fire, which it is supposed was maliciously caused. The property was insured in the New Zealand Office for £3OO. About 10 p.m. on the following night a barn and stable, also the property of John and Jeremiah Harnett, were destroyed by fire, supposed maliciously caused. The barn and stable were not insured, but the sum for which the house and contents were insured will cover the value of all the property destroyed.
