Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.
(See Police Gazette , 1884, page 183.) The dark-brown draught - mare, the property of George McLaughlan, has been recovered.
Supposed stolen about the Ist November last, from a paddock at Aramoho, near Wanganui, a dark-bay mare with black points, aged, about 14 hands high, nuggoty build, short fetlocks and tail, branded NG or NC on off shoulder and AN on near shoulder, brands rather indistinct, used to run in harness; the property of John Bennie ; value £ls. Identifiable.
Supposed stolen on the night of the 27th ultimo, at Masterton, a light-saddle hack bay gelding, 14 hands high, black points, switch tail, large splint on near fore leg above the fetlock ; the property of William Iggalden ; value £lO. Identifiable.
Supposed stolen on tho 23rd or 24th ultimo, from Polhill Gully, Wellington, a bright-bay horse, light-draught breed, aged, about 15£ hands high, dark points, a lump near off shoulder; the property of Messrs. Strike and Hamilton; value £2O. Identifiable.
