Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
Knud Olsen is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with deserting from the barque “ Dunelm,” at Wellington, on the 30th or 31st ultimo. Description: A Norwegian, a carpenter and seaman, twenty-one years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair, no hair on face, light blue eyes, slovenly gait. A reward of £3 10s. is offered for his arrest.
Fouche Francois is charged with deserting from the barque “ Charity,” at Port Chalmers, during the night of the 31st ultimo. Description: A Frenchman, an able seaman, twenty-six years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slight build, dark complexion and eyes, light hair, no hair on face.
Hans Dehn is charged with deserting from the ship “ Marlborough,” at Port Chalmers, on the Ist or 2nd instant. Description: A native of Sweden, an able seaman, twenty years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, fair hair, no hair on face, lame. A reward of £2 is offered for his arrest if effected on or before the Ist proximo.
