Stolen on the 2nd ultimo, from on board the cutter “ Ellen Curran,” at Maketu, a coloured counterpane, a red blanket, a pair of dark-tweed trousers (a hole burnt near one of pockets), a dark-tweed vest, two coloured-cotton shirts, two sheathknives, and two turkish towels; the property of William Sullivan and John Millias ; value £1 10s. Blanket and trousers identifiable. Maoris suspected.
