Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
William Grant and James Lambert are charged with having, about the 22nd ultimo, deserted from the ship “Slrathblane,” at Port Chalmers. Description : Grant is Scotch, eighteen years of age, 5 feet high, stout build, dark complexion and hair, blue eyes, round full face. Lambert is English, about twenty-five years of ago, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, fair fresh complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, small brown whiskers, scar on left cheek.
