GRADING OF “HIGH-FAIR” NEW ZEALAND HEMP.

As a result of representations made at a recent conference between representatives of the hemp-millers and the Department, it was decided that “ high-fair ” grade hempthat is, hemp scoring from 65 to 69 points —be definitely recognized asa separate grade, and certificates and reports to millers issued and tags on the bales stamped accordingly. The grading was brought into force as soon as the necessary notification had been made to hemp-millers throughout the Dominion—i.e., towards the end of October.
