MANAWATU SHOW.

The forthcoming spring show in connection with the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, to be held on November 5, 6 and 7, gives promise of being one of the most successful ever held by this progressive association. The stock entries have met with an excellent response, and the art and school sections show a considerable increase. A falling-off of the cooking, however, is reported. The photographic exhibition should be a good display, as the entries are

well over a hundred in excess of last year. The hunting competitions are increasing in popularity. No doubt the handsome prize money and trophies presented by this and kindred associations have’ caused the old warriors to still remain in the field and defend their laurels against the rising usurpers. The Manawatu Kennel Club’s exhibition should be another popular feature, the entries being in the vicinity of 400. Those still desiring information should communicate with the secretary, Mr. W. T. Penny, Box 85 Palmerston North.
