■ ' ' Spring- ’meeting;.*, With the- Auckland T.C.’s spring meeting over the attention of light harness -racing devotees is now focussed on the spring gathering of the, Otahuhu .Trotting Club, which is to be held, at Alexandra Park on November I's.’ and 19, The club have drawn up a programme that will be found particularly attractive to trotting owners and trainers, both’ in the Auckland province and in the south. Of the 'first day’s events the Peace Memorial Handicap (harness), of 400sovs., and cup valued at 50sovs., presented by Mr. A. L. Raven, two miles, limit 4m. 445., takes precedence, while on the second day the Liverpool Handicap (harness), of 400sovs., two miles, 4.44 limit, will engage principal attention. The other fourteen events figuring on the programme provide special opportunities to owners of trotters and pacers, both in harness and saddle, to capture a good stake in their respective grades, and that first-rate entries will be forthcoming on Friday, October 31, when at 5 p.m. entries for all events will close with the secretary, Mr. R.
