WAIPUKURAU JOCKEY CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING'. The old-established Vvalpukurau Jockey Club is out with its Easter one-day programme of events, of the value of £1145. The Waipukurau Handicap, of 200sovs., is the most valuable of the eight events. The Flying Handicap is worth 180sovs., the Oringi and Hatuma Handicaps 150sovs. each, the Easter and Hack Handicap 135sovs. each, the Maiden (at w.f.a.) llOsovs., and the Ladies’ Handicap SOsovs., three gold watches being given in lieu of money, valued respectively at 40sovs., 25sovs. and 15sovs., to go to the nominators (ladies). This race is for gentlemen riders, and creates a lot of interest. Mr. W. G. Nightingale, secretary, will take nominations up to Monday, March 31. His address is P.O. Box 118, Waipukurau.
