Mr. J. Muir, the well-known Wellington bowler, arrived in Auckland by the Main Trunk express on Tuesday morning, and will be a competitor in the leading events to be decided at the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association’s tournament, which opens to-day (Wednesday).
Lieutenant-Colonel J. F. Duigan, D. 5.0., late commander of the Tunnelling Corps in France, who recently returned, has been appointed General Staff Officer in the Auckland district, vice Major Sir Robert Walker, who is leaving for England.
