TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB.

SUMMER MEETING. Owners and trainers should make a special note of the fact that nominations for all events to be decided at the Takapuna Jockey Club’s threeday meeting are due with the secretary, Mr. Robert Wynyard, Vulcan Lane, Auckland, on Friday next, January 10, by 5 p.m. The meeting promises to be the most successful ever held by the club, record stakes being allotted for the various events, and the opportunity of securing three days’ racing at the fixture will be greatly appreciated by visiting trainers. The new track is in splendid order, and there is little doubt that the racing will prove the most enjoyable ever provided the club’s many patrons. The gathering takes place on January 29, 30 and February 1, the principal events to be decided on the respective days being the Takapuna Cup Handicap, of lOOOsovs, one mile and a-half; Alison Cup Handicap, of 550sovs, one mile two furlongs and a-half; and the Takapuna Jockey Club Handicap, of 700sovs, one mile two furlongs and a-half.
