FEILDING JOCKEY CLUB.

SPRING MEETING. The postponed spring meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club is to be held on Saturday next, January 11, when some first-rate sport is promised those who intend patronising this popular fixture. The acceptances received in the first instance for the spring gathering still .. hold good, and the weights will remain the same with the exception that those horses which have won races duringthe Christmas and New Year holidays have incurred penalties. That good fields will be seen out in the various events appears certain, as, despite the alteration in the date of. the . fixture, a large number of owners and trainers have signified their intention of being represented at the meeting. The majority of the horses engaged at Feilding will be benefitted by the racing indulged in during the holidays, and as a good interval will have elapsed between the New Year gather- . ings and the time of their sporting silk at Feilding some high-class- finishes should be witnessed.
