NAPIER, PARK RACING CEUB.
AUTUMN MEETING. The Napier Park Racing Club’s autumn meeting will be opened on Friday next and concluded the following day. There is every prospect of the meeting proving an unqualified success, and though at the time of going to press the acceptances are not available it is safe to conclude that the fields left in the various events will be well up to the average. The Napier Cup (one mile and a-quarter) is creating a great amount of interest, and the possibilities of a sterling race are decidedly promising. A very large number of North Island sportsmen contemplate visiting the fixture, and the two days’ racing at Napier Park is certain to be of the high standard invariably associated with gatherings held by this popular racing body.
