TROTTING.

CANTERBURY NOTES. (By Tele.—Christchurch Correspondent.,) Even if Admiral Wood is started at Addington on Saturday he can hardly be expected to show anyth ng like his best form. He went amiss last November, and has done little more than Togging work since being recommissioned. J. Bryce has changed his mind about patronising the Otahuhu meet ng. In stead, he intends taking a small team to race at Wanganui, and will return south in time for the Timaru meeting. Though the acceptances are not to hand at the time of writing it looks as if the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club is in for a great meeting on Saturday next. All the events have filled particularly well, and many of the best horses in Canterbury will be racing.
