QUEEN’S THEATRE.
“A Canine Hero” is a star film that has been meeting with much favour at the Queen’s all the week. A mastiff is the leading actor. He rescues his mistress from a criminal by holding the end of a rope while the woman lowers herself to the ground. A struggle on a cliff is another exciting interlude. Thrills are also afforded in “The Tomboy’s Race,” depicting a woman winning the race for her lover, who has been prevented from driving. A new feature has been introduced in the Queen’s Weekly Chronicle, the 'first series depicting scenes in the harbour on Ariniver sary Day, Takapuna races, and toboggan races at the Exhibition. “An Interrupted Courtship” and “Two Men and a Piano” are two laughable sub? jects, full of life and incident, while views of Tangiers make up a particularly pleasing programme.
