Mr J. Booth, who recently carried off the two and five miles Australasian Motor Cycle Championship, held in Melbourne, made a successful, attempt recently on the one-hour Australasian motor cycle track record. The ride was accomplished on the Melbourne Sports Grounds, three laps to a mile, and although the track (conditions militated against exceptionally fast speed, Booth succeeded in covering 155 laps in 60 minutes, or three laps better than the previous figures, which stood to the credit of another Victorian motor cyclist—J. Luckey. The total mileage was 52 miles 201 yards.
