TURF RESULTS.

TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB. A RECORD GATHERING. SOULTORIA WIN’S THE CUP. The Takapuna Jockey Club was most fortunate in the weather for .their summer meeting this season, which was m marked contrast to the unsatisfactory climatic conditions last November, when the spring gathering was held. In addition to ideal weather large acceptances were received for all the events and consequently the attractions of a day at the ■North Shore course on a bright Saturday and a delightful Anniversary Day drew record attendances. The sport throughout the meeting was most interesting- Mr. C. O’Connor was very successful in the way he dispatched the fields and in almost every race the contests were keenly fought out, often resulting in close and exciting finishes, while above all the sport was clean. The judge (Mr. W. J. Ralph) had several rcmarka-bly close finishes to adjudicate on, but in every case his decision was accepted without demur. The totalisator was run very smoothly and the officials handled the record turnover with celerity. To the secretary (Mr. R. Wynyard) a special word of praise is due for the complete and excellent management of the most successful meeting the club has yet held. The results were as follows: — MAIDEN PLATE of lOOsovs. One mile. 2— E'. W. Alison’s Tiresome, by Seaton Delaval—Torment. 4yrs, 9.0 (C..
