METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE.

At a meeting of the Metropolitan Committee on Tuesday evening (Mr. H. T. Gorrie in the chair), Mr. E. W. Alison was appointed to represent the committee at the hearing of the appeal of B. Deeley at Wellington next month. The following licenses were granted:—Trainers: Wm. Cook and John Williamson. Jockeys: W. H. Mobberley, Alex. Mitchell and C. H. Percival. Apprentice jockeys: J. B. O’Shea and V. B. Collins. The programme of the Papakura Racing Club for April 16 was approved.
