WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S AUTUMN MEETING.

The nominations received by the Wellington Racing Club for the Thompson and Autumn Handicaps, to be decided on April 6 and 9, must have been particularly pleasing to the club. In the mile race no less than 45 horses figure, including all the best performers in the Dominin. Amongst those engaged are Salute, Gold Lace, Equitas, Armlet, Lady Medallist, Master Soult, Crucinella, Sandstream, North-east and Tumut, so that it will be seen that the material is there to provide a great contest. The Autumn Handicap, one mile and a-quarter, has a nomination of 39, and, with the exception of All Red, it may be said that every horse with any qualifications whatever to rank as a good horse figures in the race. Handicaps will appear on March 30 and acceptances fall due on April 2.
