TIVOLI THEATRE.
NATIONAL VAUDEVILLE COMPANY.
Large audiences continue to attend , the Tivoli Theatre nightly to witness the programme presented by the National Vaudeville Company. The new programme provided this week is a good one and meets with the approval of the audience. In the opening part Miss Alice Herman is heard to advantage in the coon song “ Rainbow Coon,” while a banjo specialty by Mr. George Mackie is very good. The ruling favourite Miss Brightie Carlisle sings “Wonderland,” having to respond to the encore demanded. “Live and Let Live” is Mr. Charles Reeves’ contribution and Miss Hettie Blanchard is responsible for “Sailing in My Balloon.” Messrs. George Tarr and James Angus created a good deal of laughter with their eccentric dancing and comicalities. The second part of the programme is well up to expectations, the turn of the Blanchards, musicians, being very good and another deserving of mention is Mr. Joe Lamb in his absurdity entitled “The Huntsman.” The entertainment is brought to a close with the very funny farce “Quick Lodgings.”
