THE OPERA HOUSE.

FULLERS’ WIDE WORLD PICTURES.

With their customary enterprise Messrs. Fuller have given amusement lovers a real treat in the pictorial line

during the Christmas holidays, this week’s programme being one of particular merit. A most appropriate film shown is that of “Christmas Day in Many Lands,”, which meets with due appreciation at the hands of the large audiences that throng the Opera House nightly. In presenting “Sister Angela” Messrs. -Fuller can safely lay claim to submitting one of the finest films ever witnessed in Auckland, this beautiful legend being illustrated in magnificent fashion. A soldier’s dying message is secretly conveyed to Sister Angela,, his former lover, who resides in the convent, whereupon the woman’s love for the soldier and her belief in her faith provide an interesting struggle with her conscience. A fine dramatic film is that of “In Old Kentucky,” depicting a series of exciting happenings in the Civil War. A film of great interest is that showing the great Dunlop Road Race from Warrnambool to Melbourne, which is the largest event of its kind held in the world. The scenic pictures of “Picturesque Biarritz” are most beautiful specimens, showing some excellent views of this famous seaport. A fine dramatic representation of the Shakespearian play “Julius Caesar” is given, the various characters being portrayed by well-known artists. “The White Farm” is also a remarkably fine film, which evokes considerable applause from the audience. “ The National School of Belgian Cavalry” is the title of an amusing film, while “Charming Children” and “Black Hands and Feet” are a couple of really good pictures. Mr. E. J. Burke’s orchestral band renders a delightful programme, which contributes largely to the evening’s enjoyment.
