A BRITISH TWIN AIRSHIP.
W. Friese-Green, a Brighton (England) photographer, has patented and is now building a remarkable airship. The novel feature of the vessel is its “twin-construction.” It consists of two elongated gas bags placed side by side. Should one bag collapse there will be no fear of accident, and the airship has as its balancing instrument the wonderful gyroscope. There are four motors, one driving the gyroscope, another the propeller fan, and two others for emergency. The airship can be made to rise or fall by a movable weight travelling on an endless band from end to end of the machine.
