MR R. NOTON.

Mr Bob Noton, whose portrait appears in this issue, has taken over that popular hostelry, the Thistle, Queen Street, where he will be pleased to meet his legions of friends. He is a good sportsman, a fine lacrosse player, and a good fellow. As a member of the firm of Noton Brothers, tea merchants, Bob. has made himself immensely popular and now he has taken the Thistle, his friends are not likely to forget him. The hotel is a free house where the finest Dunedin beers will always be on tap in addition to all the local ales and stout including “Imperial.” “Lion,” and “Campbell Ehrenfried.” Nothing but the choicest brands of wines, spirits and cigars are on the shelves, so that when a customer goes into th? bar, he can get what he wants —the best. This is the right way to do things and we wish Mr Noton the best of good luck in his new venture.
