In the matches under the Rotorua Rugby Union, Waikite (last year’s champions) defeated Kahukura by 9 points to 3. City met Whakarewarewa, the match ending in a draw — 3 points each. In the cup matches under the Waihi Rugby Union, Mataura defeated Waihi
by 18 points to nil. Mataura H. proved victors over Waihi by 11 points to 5. At Paeroa West defeated East by 3 points to nil.
