THE TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB’S MEETING.
Directly the Avondale meeting has been concluded the attention of sportsmen will be focussed on the coming fixture of the Takapuna Jockey Club at Devonport, which is booked to take place on May 23 and 25. For this the entries have already closed, and as will be seen in another column, the response from owners has been quite satisfactory. The weights for the opening day will see the light on Friday, May 8, when the Takapuna Steeplechase will also be dealt with. Mr. R. Wynyard, the secretary, will take acceptances up to Friday, May 15.
