FIRST DAY. The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting commenced on Wednesday. There was a large attendance, and the sport was very good The following were the results: — ROSEWILL HANDICAP. —Linda 1 Restless 2, Portland 3. Southern Cross 3. Wan by half a length Time, 2m. 12 %s. NURSERY HANDICAP — Beneform 1 Miss Mischief 2, Seafill 3. Scratched. "k/Tatw Lass AVon easily. M PRESIDENT’S WELTER HANDICAP. The Bibyan 1, Mango 2, Nancy Stair 3 Won easily. HANDICAP TROT.— Tracey Lovett 1 Red Rothschild 2, Lulette 3. Won comfortably by several lengths HACK RACE. —Gold Braid 1, Lady Zion 2, Ayesha 3. Won easily. FLYING HANDICAP. —Lupulite 1, Ilarita 2, Octave 3. Won easily. SECOND DAY. The autumn meeting of the South Canterbury Jockey Club was concluded on Thursday in fine weather. The attendance was again large and the sport good The totalisator receipts showed a ! gross increase of £2601. The results of the racing were as follows: — TEMUKA HANDICAP. —Restless 1, Orient 2, Salaam 3. Won by half a HANDICAP.—Octave 1, Ard R'eigh 2, Cerise and Blue 3. Won by a head. - AUTUMN HANDlCAP—Thunderer 1, Gwendolina 2, Lady Landon 3. Also started:- Armamento, De Witte, Mercy, Hilarity, Notus, Southern Cross, Lone Star. Won easily. JUVENILE HANDICAP. — Miss Mischief 1, Beneform 2, Gyrata 3. Won WELTER HANDICAP. Lady Disdain 1, Oiyoi 2, Mango 3. Won TROT HANDICAP.— Curfew Bell 1, Battleaxe 2, Rulwette 3. HACK RACE. —Ayesha 1, Lady Zion 2, Vagrance 2. Won easily. ■ • FAREWELL HANDICAP. —Lupulite 1, Zetland 2, Ilarita 3. Won easily.
