WELLINGTON PONY AND GALLOWAY CLUB.
The second meeting of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Club was held at Miramar on Saturday. Fine weather prevailed, and there was an attendance of about 2000. Auckland ponies won four out of the six events. Thirty-two bookmakers took out licenses. The results were as follows:— MAIDEN HANDICAP, five furlongs —Winnie 1, Lady Mason 2, Dan O’Connell 3. TRIAL HANDICAP.—Balgonie 1, Puketaora 2, Normandale 3. MARCH HANDICAP. —Mutineer (late Dr. Quest) 1, Inspiration 2, Kauhoe 3 SEATOUN HANDICAP. — Herculean 1, Kity 2, Cassina 3. TRADESMEN’S PURSE. —Weka 1, Belle Vue 2, Marquis 3. FLYING HANDICAP. —Mutineer 1 Inspiration 2, Kauhoe 3.
