HUNTING.
NORTH TARANAKI HUNT CLUB. It is pleasing to note that the above club is now an established fact, and from the enhusiasm that is being put into it we are confident that it has a life before it. Our representative was informed by the secretary (Mr. E. P. Webster) that it is the intention of the club to open the season at Sentry Hill on Thursday, June 21st. Members of the Egmont and Wanganui Hunt Clubs have been invited to attend. The visitor will be met on the arrival of the 10 train and entertained at lunch, after which they will proceed to the hunting ground, about a mile from Sentry Hill. Arrangements have also been made for a social at night, and given fine weather the gathering should prove a very pleasant one. We offer the club hearty congratulations upon its formation, and wish it a prosperous season. The following gentlemen have been elected to the management offices: President, H. Lepper, Esq.; vice-president, H. J. Hislop, Esq.; Committee, Messrs A. H. Street, Gus. Sole, A. Cliff, H. Solway, F. Carthew, E. W. Wheally, S. McGinnis and J. B Mabin; secretary, Mr. E. P. Webster.
