A goodly number of changes in Southern have been recently reported by Messrs. Dwan Bros., hotel brokers, Wil-bs-street, Wellington, who have sold Mr. "homas Sowman’s interest in the Railway ■riotel, Eketahuna, to Mr Alfred Carter, well known in the engineering trade ; Mr. Thomas Wilkinson’s interest in the Princess Theatre Hotel, Tory-street, Wellington, to Mr. William Nidd; Mr. David Sullivan’s interest in the lease and goodwill of the Post Office Hotel, Grey-street, Wellington, to Mr. A. McVenish, formerly of the Lower Hutt, and latterly of Invercargill ; Mr. S. J. Flewellyn’s interest in the lease and goodwill of the Alhambra Hotel, Cuba-street, Wellington, to Mr. Thomas Wilkinson, well known in this city ; Mrs. J. Ormsbee’s interest in the -lease and furniture of the Clyde Quay Hotel to Mr. Julius Plitsch, who is well known in the theatrical profession as “Ajax” ; the lease, goodwill and furniture o c the Family Hotel, Rangitikei Line, Palmerston North, conducted by Mr. Thomas J. Nott for some time past, to Mr. Martin Ryan, formerly of Kumara, and late of Wellington; Mr. Shanahan’s interest in the Takapau Hotel, Hawke’s Bay, to Mr. F. J. Bassett, of Hautauma ; and the sale of the Caledonian Hotel, Adelaide-road, on account of Mr. George Allen, to Mr. James Clulow, late of the Railway Hotel, Lower Hutt.
