Melodeon last week again joined the active brigade under T. Quinlivan, jun.’s tuition, and his appearance suggests that the spell has done him a great deal of good.
Starshoot and Loiret_are still enjoying their Hing on their owner, Mr. 'E. J. Watt’s, estate, but are to be put in hand shortly.
Mobility, a rising three-year-old baby sister by The Officer to Jeanne d’Arc, will carry the Hon. J. D. Ormond’s colours in the Trial Handicap, which event conies up for decision on the second day of the Wellington meeting this week. She is reported to be very slippery. Sir Tristram, one of the Karamu entrants for the New Zealand Cup, is doing all that is asked of him in a satisfactory manner.
