WELLINGTON RACING CLUB’S WINTER MEETING.

FIRST DAY-JULY 16. The weather for the first day of the Wellington Racing Club s Steeplechase Meeting was fine overhead, but the course andgrounds were heavy and sloppy after the recent rains. The attendance was satisfactory. The fields were large, and some interesting racing was witnessed.
