Owing to the increasing demand for these Wines, Mr Soler has taken over another two hundred acres of land situated on the Kaukatea Road, No. 3 Line, Wanganui, and has already planted a large Area in Vines. Mr Soler wishes to call the attention of Hotelkeepers and the Public generally to the Excellent Quality of these Wines, as will be seen by the following awards. The Wines Mr Soler sent to the Melbourne International Exhibition in 1880, when competing with those from the Australian Colonies, obtained six Prizes. He also obtained First Prize Medal for these Wines for purity at the Christchurch International Exhibition, 1882. These Wines were also exhibited at the Ashburton Exhibition, held on the 20th March. 1883, and re’eived from the judges First Award of Merit, and were also awarded First Prize Medal at the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition. 1885, Wellington ; Prize Medal at the Indian and Colonial Exhibition held in London, 1887, Prize Medal at the Melbourne International Exhibition held in 1889, First Prize for the Colonies at the Wellington Conference held in May, 1896, Gold Medal at Queensland International Exhibition held in Brisbane, 1897, and Gold and Silver Meda’ at the Industrial and Mining Exhibition held in Auckland, 1898-99.
