IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.

UNPRECEDENTED OFFER. OUR MONSTER PREMIUM LIST. The proprietors of the Sporting- Review, on page 5 of this issue, offer a series of valuable prizes as premiums to readers who send in prepaid yearly subscriptions to the Sporting Review. A glance at that page will show the excellent character of the articles offered to those readers who care to devote their spare time to the endeavor to obtain subscribsrs to this journal. Ihe proprietors are offering these valuable premiums as they desire to make the Sporting Review more widely known. As an illustrated sporting and dramatic newspaper, the Sporting Review occupies the leading position in the colony, and it has long been established as the sporting authority of the North Island of New Zealand. It should not, therefore, be a difficult task for our readers to obtain subscribers. Amongst their many friends and acquaintances there must be numbers who would gladly subscribe to the paper, nob only for its intrinsic value, but as a help towards the acquirement by their friends of one or other of the prizes offered. To anyone obtaining two hundred prepaid yearly subscriptions a handsome and valuable Waldmann piano is offered ; for one hundred subscriptions the prize is one of the wellknown “ Reynolds” bicycles ; for thirty-live subscriptions the successful canvasser can have the choice of a gold hunting watch or a double-ba.rel top-lever breech-loading gun ; for thirty prepaid subscriptions the sender may have a first-class suit of clothes made to order,.and so on through the list. The proprietors do not confine themselves to one article, nor will the premiums offered always be the same. Special prizes will be offered to lady canvassers, the object of the proprietary being to please the working readers, as well as to substantially reward them for their labor. Full information will be given to intending canvassers on application at this office.
