BAY YEARLING COLT, by Seaton Delaval out of Leocante, by Leolinus out of Cantiniere, by Musket from Queen Bess, by Nutwith out of the daughter of Riddlesworth. Woodstock, the half-brother to Leocante, won the March Handicap at Hawke’s Bay, and the Napier Cup and City Stakes at Napier Park. All this family are gallopers. Seaton Delaval is the sire of Miss Delaval, Hastings, Rosella, all good gallopers. This is a very fine upstanding Colt, and is very difficult to fault. LOT 9. Steppe is half-sister to Hermit, winner of Derby. Stepfeldt herself won the Auckland Derby. Stepniak, full-brother to Stepfeldt, won the Canterbury Derby. She, the full-sister to Stepfeldt, is the dam of Bobadil. The breeding of this Filly cannot be surpassed in any part of the world. This yearling is brim full of quality and should come to hand early. CHESTNUT YEARLING COLT, by Seaton Delaval from Sybil, by Leolinus from Atlantis (imp), by Thormanby out of Hurricane, by Wild Dayrell out of Media, by Scutari out of Marinella, by Soothsayer, out of Bess. Sybil is full-sister to Faubulist and Leolantis, and half-sister to Happy Land, the dam of Hova. Fabulous is sire of Fabulist, winner of Auckland Guineas and Derby. This yearling Colt is well grown and shows a lot of quality. As all the Seaton Delavals have shown that they can gallop, there is every reason to believe that this yearling will follow suit. He is very fast in the paddock. LOT 11. BROWN YEARLING FILLY, by St. Hippo out of Liquidation, by. King Cole out of Realisation, by Vespasian out of Hopeful Duchess, by The Flying Dutchman. Liquidation performed well. Wapiti, her fullbrother held the record for N.Z. for one and a half miles for some years. Maxim, half-brother to Liquidation, was one of the best performers in Australasia. Hastings, half-brother to the yearling under offer, has proved that he can gallop fast.
