The winner of any flat race of 100 sovs, after declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs. Nomination, 2 sovs; acceptance, 7 sovs. One mile and a half. 2.45 p.m. —First Handicap Hack Hurdles of 40 sovs; second horse to receive 10 sovs from the stake. NOMINATIONS for all races, except Farewell Handicap, close with the Secretary, at Palmerston North, on SATURDAY, December 4th. at 10 p.m. WEIGHTS will be declared on or about December 13th ACCEPTANCES close with the Secretary, at Palmerston North, on SATURDAY, December 18th, at 10 p m. WEIGHTS for second day (except Farewell Handicap) will he posted at the Commercial Hotel, Palmerston North, about 9 p.m. on December 27th. ACCEPTANCES for second day close wdh the Secretary at the Commercial Hotel, Palmerston North, at 10 p.m. on December 27th. A hack is a horse that has never won a race of over 40 sovs (hack and hunters excepted), and is not nominated for other than hack races at time of entry. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmerston North. Entrance money enclosed with name and age at time of entry, pedigrees, and, in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 sovs.
