Coursing.
We are glad to say that through the medium of our advertising columns Mr O. R. Wise, of Oamaru, has been enabled to do good business with some of our Auckland coursing enthusiasts. He has leased two of his pups by his Stud dog Carbine, out of Effie Deanes, to that genuine lover of the long tails, Mr Thomas Broadwood, and we are certain the pups could not have got into better hands. We hope to see Tommy leading back the winner of the Auckland Greyhound Derby of 1895.
By the Pukaki which arrives to-day comes yet another Carbine pup from the well known bitch Winter Rose. The pup is booked to the order of Mr Joseph McKee. May he have another Kotero. The greyhound bitch Sweetwater has been leased by a well-known local sport, and will be his representative in the Challenge Stakes to be riAi in the Dunedin Plumpton next May. Mr Ryan’s Leda visited Mr Dervan’s Martini-Henri on the Uth this month.
