FOXTON RACING CLUB.

The Foxton Racing Club held their annual meeting of members on July 29th. The balance-sheet submitted showed that the year had been started with a credit balance of £36, and that £530 had been given in stakes, and that other charges had brought the total expenditure up to £790. The receipts had been £832, leaving a credit balance of £77, including the sum carried forward from the previous year. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. F. Robinson ; vice-presi-dent, Mr. E. 8. Thynne; judge, Mr. H. F. Davidson; handicappers, the Committee; starter, Mr. H. Gillies; treasurer, Mr. W. Robinson ; secretary, Mr. J. R. McMillan; timekeeper, Mr. A. E. Nixon; committee and stewards, Messrs. F. R. Young, W. B. Rhodes, J. P. Williams, J. H. Robinson, J. R Stansell, J. R. Whyte, J. Ahern, E. S. Thynne, and R. Cawston. A gratuity of 10 gns. was voted to the retiring secretary, Mr. J. R. Russell, and a hearty vote of thanks passed to him for the many services he had rendered ; the club.
