NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITIES.
In the September number which, by the way, will complete the second year of the life of the New Zealand Illustrated Magazine, the series of articles promised on the Universities of New Zealand will commence. It has been decided to begin with the Otago University as it is the oldest in New Zealand. These articles will be written by the best authorities obtainable, and will give most interesting details of the growth of higher education in our young colony. By publishing articles such as these, which call the attention of young people to the advantages of University education, which are not sufficiently recognised in the colony, it may be that we shall in some measure advance its interests.
Articles on the following subjects will appear shortly : — The Otago University. — By Dr. Marshall, M.A., D.Sc. Turkish Women. — By " Cosmopolitan." Deep Sea Fishing. — By J. Wylde. Overland ro Preservation Inlet. — By John Easter Storm. , . Our Trip to Eotorua. — By Emily A. Parkes. Domet and His Work. — By J. 60 wan. Symposium on the Money Question (Continued).
