June 7. Tennis Club Ball. Tlie Hawke's Bay Tennis Club gave their annual bail on Tuesday night, at the Garrison Hall. It was a most successful function, and great praise is due to those who worked so hard to make it a success. The Plunket Society held a meeting on Friday afternoon, when it was decided that active steps should be taken .to establish a cottage hospital, where the babies could have proper treatment.
