HAWERA, October 12. Ou the Links. Tuesday was a. perfect day for golf, ami quite a number were on the links. Some of those present were: Mrs Kimball, Mrs McLean. Mrs Foyster, Mrs Campbell, Mrs Wallace, Airs Pago, Mrs Campbell. Mrs Worthy. Misses Capleu (2). Nolan, Pratt, Clapeott, Hawken, denn, Douglas. Good. Small Dance. An enjoyable little danee was given by Miss W inks, of Normanby, hist Wednesday, the night of her sister’s marriage. 'Two rooms were used for dancing, and the music was supplied by Mrs . Eggers, of Eltham. Miss Winks received her guests in a pale blue eolienne frock relieved with silver; Mrs R. McLean, grey • harmeuse, with an overdress of grey leaded net ; Mrs B. Winks, black velvet; Mrs Blythe, champagne coloured eolienne, with touches of black; Mrs V. Nolan, . ream net over satin, relieved with silver ti .minings;- Miss Greville, pale blue foulard; Miss Caplen, black silk, cream lace berthe;-Miss E. Capleu. pink satin eharmeuse, with a tunic of black ninon; Miss C. Reilly, white embroidered muslin frock; Miss Q. Glenn, eau-de-nil ninon over satin; Miss Baine, cream charmouse, with ninon tunic finished with silver trimmings: Miss Williams, brown satin, with ruehings of the same colour; Miss Williamson, cream net frock, trimmed with green fringe; Miss Hogan, pink silk frock; Messrs. Whitehorn, Hill, Bridge, Moore, Treweek, Mason, Winks (2), Chali/.ers, Sellar, Hanna, Caplen (2), Burr, Ningle. Personal. Mrs and Miss E. Moore are spending a b’lig holiday in the South Island. Mrs Stavely and her two little daught- rs, from Christchurch, are staying a few weeks with -Mrs Williamson. Mrs Williamson spent a few days here ■ m h< r way back from Palmerston to New Plymouth, where she resumes her nursing course.
