Hawera, June 15. Dance. The third of Miss Douglas’ assemblies was held in the Foresters’ Hall last Friday night, and those present considered it the jolliest little dance held this season. The floor was perfect for dancing, and the supper table was prettily decorated with scarlet salvia and white chrysanthemums. Some of those present were: Mrs Glenn, purple velvet frock, eream lace berthe; Mrs Joll, black silk, black coat trimmed with black and white striped silk; Mrs Raine, black charmeuse, with black ninon tunic, red coat; Mrs Page, black -satin, with black sequined overdress; Mrs Sinsted, heliotrope satin, trimmed with bands of same embroidered in violets; Mrs R. McLean, white charmeuse, with a tunic of green fisher net; Mrs Johnson, white satin, relieved with silver; Mrs A. Piper, cream satin, with silver sequin trimmings; Mrs Bassett, cream; Miss Douglas, pale blue ninon, trimmed with satin; Miss Caplen, black silk; Miss E. Caplen, champagne coloured satin, Maltese lace berthe; Miss Reilly, pale blue charmeuse, with ruches of .same; Miss C. Reilly, rose coloured silk, braided; Miss Raine, primrose eol-
cured silk, with cream net tunic-: Miss Williams, old gold satin, with ruchings of same; Miss Gill (Wellington), black velvet; Miss Revell, white muslin, trimmed with embroidery; Miss Williamson, white, with green ninon tunic; Miss B. Nolan, black silk relieved with blue and gold trimmings; Miss Glenn, black taffeta, pearl embroidery on corsage; Miss Q. Glenn, white charmeuse, with net tunic relieved with black velvet; Miss M. Moore, black silk, pearl e.mbroidery on corsage; Miss White, black silk; Miss Hunter, sage green charmeuse; Miss M. Hunter, white charmeuse, trimmed with beautiful lace; Miss Campion (Fordell), pink silk. Personal.
Miss Campion (Fordell) is the gnest of the Misses Reilly. Miss Gill (Wellington) is staying with Dr. and Mrs McDiarmid.
