FEILDING.
Garden Party. February 24. On Wednesday last Mrs Barton gave a party in her beautiful garden. The house was thrown open to the guests, and all the rooms were beautifully decorated with flowers. A delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed on the glassed-in verandah, and the tea table was decorated with shaded pink flowers and lovely
foliage. Tennis and eroquet were part Of the afternoon’s amusements. Mrs Barton received her guests in pretty grey poplin.with large blaek velvet hat; Mrs Gillespie was in pale blue ninon over satin, French blue hat with 'blue flowers; Mrs Alymer, tussore frock with touches of emerald'green, black and green hat; Mrs Willis, champagne foulard gown with touches of blue and blaek, pretty blaek hat; Miss Mcßeth, pretty blue satin with over-dress of black ninon, black hat; Mrs Beedie, blue frock, blaek hat; Mrs Clayton, amethyst shantung, white hat with large amethyst flowers; Miss Meares of Christchurch, white spotted muslin, very becoming violet hat; Mrs A. Fitzherbert, violet silk trimmed with pretty passemen brie, black hat; Mrs McAllum, pretty grey poplin, touches of blue and black, white hat with pink flowers; Mrs Montgomerie, saxe blue frock with overdress of ninon, black hat; Mrs Roberts, black and white coat and skirt, white ■feather boa, large black hat; Mrs Lethbridge, black velvet frock, grey hat; Mrs N. Porton, saxe blue coat and skirt, black hat; Mrs Mcßeth, grey costume, black hat; Mrs Redmayne, navy blue coat and skirt, blaek hat; Mrs Richmond', brown coat and skirt, blaek hat; Mrs Levin, dove grey costume, black hat; Mrs R. Jones, 'white muslin frock, pretty black hat; Mrs Wollams, lavender frock with pretty cream lace coat, becoming black hat: Mrs Myers, red cloth coat and skirt, black hat; Mrs Walker, black and white silk frock with touches of green, black ha t. Among others I noticed ; Miss Millar, Miss Walker, Mrs French, Mrs Mackay, Miss Bruce (2), Mrs Shannon, Miss Prior, Messrs Barton, Alymer, Fitzherbert, Lawson, Hawke, Shannon, Millar, Horrocks, Redmayne. Personal. Miss Meares, of (Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs Barton. Mrs Kerr is the guest of Mrs Monckton. Mrs Atkinson has gone to Aucklandfor a few weeks.Mrs Roberts has returned from Plimmerton. Mrs Guthrie has gone to Wellington for fhe session. Mrs Graham, of Shannon, is staying in Feilding.
