February 21. The annual meeting of subscribers to the Hamilton Library took place on Friday. Mr A. E. Manning presided. The balimee-sheet showed an expenditure of £273 17/6, which, with the Government subsidy of £23 1/7, had been fully met, leaving a balance of £1 16/ to the good. As there are now 300 subscribers to the lending branch, the 4100 volumes contained in the library must provide pleasure and profit to a good many Waikato homes. Messrs Aiken, Worsley, and McCrea were then re-elected a committee of management for the ensuing year. Afrs Chitty has gone to Auckland for a short visit. Airs F. T.
