HAMILTON.
February 21. The annual meeting of subscribers to the Hamilton Library took place on Friday. Mr A. E. Manning presided. The balimee-sheet showed an expenditure of £273 17/6, which, with the Government subsidy of £23 1/7, had been fully met, leaving a balance of £1 16/ to the good. As there are now 300 subscribers to the lending branch, the 4100 volumes contained in the library must provide pleasure and profit to a good many Waikato homes. Messrs Aiken, Worsley, and McCrea were then re-elected a committee of management for the ensuing year. Afrs Chitty has gone to Auckland for a short visit. Airs F. T. Wilson and her children are staying in Raglan for a short holiday. She is accompanied by Mrs Burton. Mrs Mulcock is visiting her old home in Tiuiaru for some weeks. Miss Muriel Chitty and her sister
Helen intend accompanying their father on a trip Home, starting very shortly, Mrs and Mr Allan have returned from their motoring tour to Tauranga.
