CAMBRIDGE.
January 22. Croquet. About a dozen members of the Hamilton Croquet Club motored through to Cambridge on Wednesday last, and some very enjoyable games were played on the local lawns, which were in excellent order. Some of those who came were:— Airs. Brewis, Airs. Valder, Airs. Airey, Airs. Stephens, Airs. T. Jolly, Airs. Hyde and Messrs. Hyde and Reece. Afternoon tea was provided by Alesdames E. Souter and E. J. Wilkinson. Personal. Aliss D. Gavin, of Wellington, has been staying with Airs. Wells, of “Oakleigh," She was one of the students who attended the conference at Christmas time, and stayed on after it was concluded. She is to stay with Airs. D. Anderson, in Hamilton, for a few days before returning home. Mrs. A. H. Nicol! is staying with her sister, Airs. A. .15. Herrold, of Remuera, for a few weeks.
Miss E. Gave, of Papakura, in staying with Miss Gwyneth, at the ‘■Bungalow.’’ Miss Willis is in Auckland staying with her sister. Mrs. J. B. Lusk, She leaves on the 16th February for Eng-
land.
